Minister Alexandru Rafila declared that flu vaccine doses are already in pharmacies, and several categories of people can receive them 100% compensated.
“There are categories of people who benefit from 100% compensation with regard to the flu vaccine: children up to 18 years old, people over 65 years old and those with chronic diseases, over 45 years old, as well as pregnant women. The vaccine is already available in pharmacies. We invite people to come to the family doctor’s office for the flu vaccine prescription”, said Minister Rafila.
People between the ages of 45 and 65 can purchase the vaccine at a 50% offset price.
Those who do not benefit from free of charge can purchase the vaccines with prices between 65 and 125 lei. Thus, Vaxigrip costs 68 lei, Influvac 64.48 lei, and Fluenzul (the intranasal vaccine for children) around 124 lei.
The influenza vaccination campaign has already started, and it is recommended to vaccinate children who are immunized for the first time with this serum. The general population should get vaccinated in October.
