Those who watched the Romania-Netherlands match, either from the stands or on television, could see, towards the end of the game, the gesture of a young boy, who entered the field and ran towards the goalkeeper of the national team, Florin Niță.

The child was eventually grabbed by stewards and led off the field of play. He offered an explanation for his gesture to journalists from Antena 3 CNN.
“I wanted to shake hands with Nița and for a long time I wanted to see him and…to shake hands with him. I didn’t succeed at Ronaldo and I wanted to do it here. And I did it”, said the little boy happily.
