Andreea Bălan announced surprisingly, last year, that she is completing her collaboration with the show “I know you from somewhere”. Although the artist invoked personal reasons, it seems that the decision would not have belonged to him.

After 12 years and 19 seasons as a jury in the show, the star invoked, in September 2024, the desire to focus on musical projects and family life.
“I want to spend and travel more with my family, without depending on the strict program of a TV show. For these reasons, I decided not to be part of the TCDU jury (I know you from somewhere no). I am very fulfilled and happy from all points of view and I want professional projects to be in harmony with my emotional development. I wish them success in the new season”, Said Andreea Bălan at the time.
Behind the decision would have been other reasons, and the decision would not have belonged to them entirely, reports Click!, Which cites several sources close to the production team.
In this case there would have been a true “exclusion board”, in which it was voted whether the artist remains in the jury. And most would have expressed against the continuation of the collaboration with Andreea Bălan. The star would have suggested to take a step in the back, in a tense atmosphere, but managed with discretion by producers, according to the Cancan publication.
Thus, in an internal meeting attended by the members of the production team, along with the whole jury, the future of Andrei Bălan would have been discussed within the project. And on this occasion, Aurelian Temișan, the artist’s marriage godfather, would have defended him.
He has a close relationship with Andreea Bălan, being born both at the marriage with George Burcea and his daughter. Despite the good intentions of Aurelian Temișan, who would have tried to support her in front of his colleagues and keep her place in the show, finally made the decision that Andreea Bălan would be excluded from the show format.
