There are only a few days left of the students’ winter vacation. But they will soon enjoy other free days. Between February 9 and March 1, they will go on a so-called ski vacation for a week. Then there will be the Easter break in April. And, after two more months of school, the big vacation, which this year will start on June 20.
Ski holiday by county
For the “skiing” holiday, inspectorates could choose any week from February 9 to March 1.
The first to enjoy a week off are the students from Bistrița-Năsăud, Cluj and Timiş counties, between February 9-15, 2026. Because it is a small number of counties, this also means that the slopes will be less crowded.

The last to take this holiday are those from the counties of Satu Mare, Maramureș, Arad, Alba, Sibiu, Mureș, Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, Neamț, Suceava, Bacău, Iași, Botoșani, Galați, Tulcea, Constanța and Dolj, between February 23 and March 1.
