It is, predominantly, by students from the rural area, you have to work to be maintained.

“We are dealing with the children who put pressure to enter the field of work, either to bring additional income to the family, or to maintain themselves. On the other hand, we are dealing with many students who are no longer in school space.”said Iuliana Constantinescu, representative of the association, parents from the “L. Blaga” High School.

According to a World Vision study, 40% of teenagers are in one of these situations. The worrying figures are not a novelty for the authorities, given that the rate of school dropout is huge, especially in the rural area, where over 27% of children give up studies, and in small cities 14%. A solution would be vocational education, but they are too little.

But only 12-15% of children opt for vocational, professional, a percentage education “Ridiculously low, shameful low”says Marian Stas, an expert in education.

In parallel, in the urban area, thousands of students hope to enter the top high schools, with aspiration to become managers or entrepreneurs
