Two days ago, Mihai Zmărăndescu, aged 24, the son of former MMA fighter and bodyguard of Gigi Becali, Cătălin Zmărăndescu, posted on his Instagram page photos that show him immobilizing a man during a conflict.

He tells that his family was threatened by a man, on whom the police found a machete. The young man, himself an MMA fighter, also stated that, because the aggressor was dangerous for the child, his wife and the rest of the family, he had to immobilize him until the police arrived.

“My family was put in danger by an individual with a machete! That’s not possible. As a sportsman, I did my duty and immobilized him until the competent authorities arrived. The child, the wife and the rest of the family were in great danger.

If I was not prepared in this sense, what was happening? The police came and found a huge machete, with which I was going to, quote: “I’m going to slaughter you all”. I will take drastic action on this, my child will be traumatized by this scandal by the individual.

I will take legal action until justice is served! I tend to believe that we live in a safe country and where the lives of our children, of our family, are not at risk. I thank God that we are well.” Mihai Zmărandescu sent on Instagram.

“After my family threatened me with the machete and after I immobilized him for 10 minutes until the competent authorities arrived, the individual was still aggressive and wanted to escalate the conflict. I am an educated boy and I acted as legally as possible”, Zmarandescu also said.

After Digi Sport took over the information and published it, George Ungureanu, the man whom Mihai Zmărăndescu says would have endangered his family and threatened his father-in-law with a machete, wanted to tell how that’s how things were, from his point of view.

Thus, George Ungureanu admits that, indeed, he had a verbal dispute with Mihai Zmărăndescu’s father-in-law regarding a road that he allegedly blocked abusively, but he did not assault anyone, and the machete in question was not she was taken out of the car. The man says that, on the contrary, he was assaulted by the athlete and his father-in-law and he is the one whose life was put in danger.

“I was assaulted by Mihai Zmărandescu, I did not assault anyone. His father-in-law blocked a public road with his car, he didn’t give me the right to pass. I repeatedly asked him to move the car, but he did not.

While I was talking to him on that public road, Mihai Zmărandescu came and strangled me from behind along with his father-in-law, they knocked me to the ground, and Zmărandescu assaulted me.

I mention that I am having open heart surgery. He stayed on top of me for over 10 minutes when I told him I had no air, but he didn’t care, he put my life in danger.

When my wife wanted to call 112, they realized the seriousness of the situation and called to victimize themselves that I had assaulted them.

That machete he talks about was in my car, but it was found among many other tools, that car being used on a nearby property that I own.

All of these things happened in front of my 8 year old while his child was in the house, not present as he falsely claims.

His family tested positive for amphetamines, which is not mentioned. They accused me of being drunk and on drugs, but I tested negative for both, while they tested positive.

I am in the process of issuing the medico-legal certificate with which I am going to file a criminal complaint for what happened”, George Ungureanu transmitted.
