Serbian tennis player Novak Djokovic won his first Olympic gold medal on Sunday, August 4, after defeating Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz 7-6 (7/3), 7-6 (7/2) in the the men’s singles final at Roland Garros, according to Agerpres.
The 37-year-old tennis player, who holds the record for most Grand Slam titles (24), won after a spectacular match that lasted almost three hours (2 hours and 50 minutes).

Spain’s Carlos Alcaraz, world number three, who won the Roland Garros tournament in June, defeated Djokovic a month ago in the Wimbledon final.
Djokovic had only one Olympic medal, won in 2008, in Beijing.
We remind you that the Italian Lorenzo Musetti won the bronze on Saturday, August 3, after defeating the Canadian Felix Auger – Aliassime, 6-4, 1-6, 6-3.
