The National House of Health Insurance (CNAS) transmits through a press release that the access of oncological patients to treatments remains an absolute priority for the institution, despite the financial issues that generate delays in the settlement of invoices to suppliers.
According to the institution, there are currently sufficient commitment loans to ensure the continuity of the therapy, even if the budgetary credits deficit affects the payment terms. The treatments are granted on the basis of the funds distributed to the suppliers in contractual relations with the health insurance houses.
“Currently, CNAS has commitment credits that allow the continuity of the treatments of the oncological patients. Even if there is a deficit of budget credits that generate delays in the settlement of invoices to suppliers, the treatments are still granted on the basis of the commitment credits distributed to the providers of medical services in contractual relations with the insurance houses.” specifies the institution.
CNAS has requested additional funding through the budget rectification project
“The funds for the oncological treatments were provided in the approved budget for 2025, but the increase in the number of patients and the extension of access to innovative therapies led to an additional financial need, for which CNAS requested funds through the budget rectification project.
Until the approval of the rectification of the FNUASS budget with the necessary amounts, CNAS will use all the internal redistribution mechanisms between the budget classification indicators, so that the continuous and uninterrupted access of patients to treatments is ensured ” CNAS representatives also convey.
“Ensuring the access of patients to the necessary treatments is a priority for CNAS”, Stresses the institution, which reaffirms the collaboration with the associations of patients, suppliers and central authorities to guarantee optimal treatment conditions.
