With the beginning of the school, many parents register their children not only at ordinary courses, but also to meditations, and their costs have registered a significant increase in the last year. The supply of meditations increases with the demand. Thus, in addition to students who are preparing for national exams, about 20% of primary school children make private hours to practice the subject handed in the classroom.
The total expenses with the schooling of a child reach, on average, at 10,000 lei per year, including after school, teaching materials and meditations.
“We have 4,500 students and preschoolers registered at English hours. The number of students increased by 15% compared to last year. The re-enrollments started from February-March, precisely to respond to the increased demand and to organize the children’s program ”explained Ruxandra Silvia Bucevschi, founder of a meditation center, for newsprotv.ro.
Specialists highlight the main reasons why parents choose meditations. Roxana Paraschiv, coordinator of the Information Center on the rights of Child Save the Children, shows that 36% of parents consider it necessary to recover the unassimilated subject in courses, 32% focus on performance, and only 2% act from the pressure of teachers.
The most sought after are the mathematics teachers.
“Mathematics meditations are the most requested. Parents, increasingly busy, can no longer follow the homework and seek alternative solutions for preparing children.”said Cristian Demian, representative of a meditation center, for the quoted source.
The annual expenses increase with the student’s age: about 7,000 lei for a primary school student, over 10,000 lei for a secondary school and more than 12,000 lei for a high school student.
