The Minister of Labor was asked, in the Political Insider show, broadcast on Saturday on Prima TV, if you can see after the age of 65, writes news.ro.

I hope to activate only in the NGO sector as a volunteer. I am not a fan of increasing the retirement age. I don’t think people have to work until the last moment ”, he considers the Minister of Labor.

In his opinion, we need time for personal life, grandchildren, rest.

“I think the retirement age should not grow. Of course there are people who want to work after 65, and after 67. There are people who at 70 want to work. I have no problem with them, neither legal nor personal. And there is the possibility that today you will work until you want. But it is an option.

I know people as well, especially from poorer environments, who are already exhausted at 60, 65, 67, and who really need at least one break, if not an end of active life and work.

The option must exist and will always exist. Whoever wants to work harder, has this right. I want to work more now, and not after 65 – 70 years ”, said Petre Florin Manole.

Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan said in a press conference on Wednesday that it is not the time to increase the standard retirement age in Romania, but it is necessary to eliminate exceptions from all areas, given that only half of Romanians between 55 and 64 are working.
