Tears and flowers, Tuesday, May 12, in the foyer of the National Theater in Cluj-Napoca, where the coffin with the lifeless body of the actor Ioan Isaiu was placed: hundreds of people, dressed in black, came to pay their last respects to the artist, who passed away, following a heart attack, at only 56 years old.

The two collaborated in several theater projects, including the comedy “The Cheated Lover”. They had also formed a beautiful friendship:

We remind you that the actor from Cluj Ioan Isaiu, known for his roles in Romanian theater, television and soap operas, died suddenly, on Saturday, at the age of 56. He would have turned 57 in August. Condolence messages were sent by stage colleagues, cultural institutions and spectators, who describe Ioan Isaiu as a charismatic actor, dedicated and deeply loved by the public.
Born on August 25, 1969, in Hunedoara, Ioan Isaiu graduated from the Faculty of Philology at Babeș-Bolyai University, Department of Theater, class of 1995. He was an employee of the National Theater in Cluj-Napoca between 1995-2001, returning later in 2017.
Throughout his career, he played in numerous theater shows and collaborated with important directors of the Romanian stage, such as Gábor Tompa, Victor Ioan Frunză or Alexandru Dabija. The public also knew him from TV series such as “Aniela”, “Love and Honor”, “Secretul Mariai” or “Vocea Inimii”.
