A seemingly ordinary village in southern Poland has become famous on the Internet after the publication of spectacular drone footage. It is about Sułoszów, which impresses with a rare feature: all 5,672 inhabitants live along a single street.
Located about 34 kilometers northwest of Kraków, the village is considered one of the longest linear villages in Poland.
Aerial images that have gone viral capture an almost perfectly geometric landscape: colorful houses lined up on either side of the main road, and behind them long and narrow agricultural plots, cultivated differently by each family, according to Blic.
The local economy is based almost exclusively on agriculture. Locals raise animals and grow grains such as wheat, oats and canola, and the carefully maintained grounds give the village a spectacular view from above.
Behind each household are barns, gardens and strips of farmland that change color depending on the crops planted. It is precisely this traditional organization that has turned the village into a real visual attraction.
“Until I saw the aerial photos, I didn’t realize how beautiful it is here“, said one of the locals, impressed by the way his village looks from the air.
Although it has thousands of inhabitants, Sułoszów retains the atmosphere of a small rural town. People say that the main advantage is the closeness of the neighbors.

Along the main street there are shops, a bakery, a local market, a bank, a medical clinic and even a club for seniors, where the elders of the village socialize and participate in various activities.
A village with over 700 years of history
The first documentary attestation of the village dates from January 25, 1315. In the Middle Ages, the area had an important strategic role. In the 14th century, King Casimir III the Great ordered the construction of Pieskowa Skała Castle, which still exists today.
The fortifications built near the village were meant to protect the trade route between Kraków and the Silesia region.
Tourist attraction for nature and history lovers
More and more tourists come to Sułoszów to admire the spectacular scenery and explore the famous route “Eagle’s Nest”a tourist route connecting 25 medieval castles in southern Poland.
Locals say that the beauty of the village is not accidental, but the result of work and care passed down from generation to generation. “Earth is our treasure”say the people of this community that became famous all over the world thanks to a simple drone photo.
