“I grew up in a world that constantly told me I couldn’t!”

At the end of April, Adrian Șovea announced on social networks that he would embark on an impressive challenge starting in May. The athlete wanted to run approximately 2,800 kilometers around Romania’s borders, within 50 days. The idea of the project was that every kilometer traveled by the athlete would contribute to the financing of one hour of psychotherapy for children in the protection system.

“I grew up in a world that constantly told me I couldn’t. However, I chose to be proof that nothing and no one can stop you if you refuse to give up on yourself. I will not run for medals, but I will run for the more than 3,500 children in the protection system, in the Ajungem MARI project. These children have known difficulties, fears, lack of hope and they need our help!wrote Adrian Șovea, before the start of the project.
