According to the most recent edition of the Uber Index of forgotten objects, phones, keys and bags occupy the first places in the list of objects forgotten by Romanians in Uber.
This year marks the 10th edition of the Uber Forgotten Index, which highlights the items passengers most frequently forget and reminds us how simple it really is to retrieve them.
“Every year, the Forgotten Items Index reminds us that even the most organized people can forget something important when they’re on the run. The good news is that item retrieval is simple and can be managed right from the Uber app.” said Ana Maria Borlovan, General Manager for Romania, the Czech Republic, Ukraine, Croatia, Hungary, the Baltic countries and Slovakia.
What objects do Romanians forget most often in Uber cars?

The data also reveals some interesting patterns. Certain items are more often forgotten on certain days of the week:
- Monday: wallets
- Tuesday: headphones
- Wednesday: wallets
- Thursday: Bags, backpacks and luggage
- Friday: IDs, passports and bank cards
- Saturday: bags, backpacks and luggage
- Sunday: telephones
Moreover, the busiest cities lead the ranking when it comes to forgotten items. Bucharest recorded the highest number of reports, followed by Timișoara, Iași, Brașov and Cluj-Napoca.
The most unusual items ever left in Uber cars
Year after year, the Forgotten Items Index proves that passengers leave far more than everyday essentials behind.
Among the most unusual items forgotten globally this year were a denture with just two teeth, breast milk, a brand new mini-fridge, two trees, a dishwasher, a package of live butterflies and two wedding dresses. Passengers also forgot an aquarium of almost 300 liters, a mannequin, a magic wand, a coffee table and even an eye prosthesis for children.
Looking back over the last ten years of Uber’s index of forgotten items, passengers have also abandoned a lobster, divorce papers, a salmon head, a portrait of Kate Middleton, 500 grams of caviar, a toy poodle and a stuffed rabbit in their cars.
