Sanitas representatives met with Rogobete. What salary rights recovered and increased incomes in 2027 for the employees of

The representatives of the Sanitas Federation met on Wednesday with the Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, and his technical team. They discussed salary prospects for 2027, the need for a new salary law, as well as the removal of restrictions affecting the staff and activity of health units.

“The SANITAS Federation emphasized that the year 2027 must bring concrete solutions, not a new stage of postponing the problems accumulated in the system”, it is stated in a post on the Facebook page of the federation, reports Agerpres.

During the meeting, the trade unionists supported the following priorities:

A new wage law, built through real negotiations with the social partners

The SANITAS Federation requests that the future salary law reflect the value, complexity and responsibility of work in the public health system and offer fair treatment to all professional categories.

“I once again emphasized the need for a genuine negotiation process, in which the social partners effectively participate in the construction of solutions, not just to be consulted on some decisions already formulated. At the same time, we requested the evaluation of the budgetary impact of the full application of the Framework Law no. 153/2017, in order to establish the real size of the unpaid salary obligations”, declared the president of the Federation, Iulian Pope.

Solutions to increase incomes for the year 2027 and the recovery of unpaid salary rights

Until the adoption of a new law, SANITAS considers it essential to identify mechanisms that will allow the increase of the incomes of Health employees in 2027, the cited source mentions.

The salary rights provided by the law, but not granted as a result of its incomplete application, must be a starting point in identifying solutions for 2027. It is necessary both to recover these rights and to correct the inequities that continue to affect different categories of staff, the quoted source states.

Removal of restrictions that affect the personnel and activity of health units

SANITAS requested the revision and elimination of the restrictive measures introduced by the ordinances adopted by the Bologna Government during 2026, which affected the rights of employees and the functioning capacity of Health.

“We insisted on the need to ensure sufficient staff, to remove blockages regarding the occupation of positions and to remove the restrictions that prevent the activity from being carried out under normal conditions”, the trade unionists say.

Ensuring adequate and predictable funding for Health

The SANITAS Federation drew attention to the need to secure financial resources for the proper functioning of the public health system until the end of 2026 and for the realistic substantiation of the budgets related to 2027.

SANITAS believes that the dialogue with the Ministry of Health must materialize in measures taken at the governmental level, with real effects on the incomes and working conditions of the employees.

“I emphasized, in particular, the financing difficulties faced by the public health system and the need for a stable budget mechanism, which guarantees the continuity of services and the full payment of employees’ rights. Underfunding cannot continue to be compensated by personnel sacrifices or by diminishing the quality of services offered to the population. A high-performing health system cannot be built by limiting the human and financial resources on which it depends. For SANITAS, the priorities of the social dialogue in the next period are clear: fair incomes, recovery of unpaid salary rights, adequate funding and the removal of restrictions that affect the functioning of the system”, specified Iulian Pope.

Topics discussed were: the correct payment of guards, shift increments and hours worked on Saturdays/Sundays and public holidays; payment of guards performed by resident doctors; awarding holiday vouchers until the end of the year; reclassification of hospitals; the revision of the staff regulations, stated SANITAS representatives.
