Costreie announces the two essential areas for education that need to be improved: “We have come more to justify what we do”

The Minister of Education, Sorin Costreie, WANTS improving two areas that he considers essential for education: greater decentralization and debureaucratization. He also announces the first meetings he will have on Thursday with representatives of students, pupils, teachers and parents.

“It has already been a week since I took the oath as Minister of Education and Research. I start my mandate convinced that we must improve, punctually, two areas that I consider essential for education: greater decentralization and debureaucratization – to give the school the opportunity to adapt to the needs of the community and to give teachers more time to do education, without being overwhelmed by papers and administrative tasks. We have come to justify what what do we do except actually do it”, he wrote on Facebook on Thursday.

In the current context, a priority is also to have safe schools, added Costreie, according to Agerpres.

“We need an education that is no longer left alone. A school becomes safe if it is not alone. And I am confident, especially after today’s first meetings with representatives of students, pupils, teachers and parents, that we will be able to do many good things together. Of course, for all this and in line with the commitment of the Government of which I am a part, I want us to enter as soon as possible on an upward trend regarding investments in education and research. As I said before, we need an education that pushes society forward, a coherent and predictable education without sudden changes, a social locomotive that pulls communities and destinies forward“said the minister.

According to him, equity and access to education, starting with a special interest in early education and with a strong focus on reflective education, must be priorities.

“We have extraordinary children, with great results including at the international level. However, we also have children for whom we owe it to us to find solutions as soon as possible so that they have access to a quality education. We must work for everyone. And equity and access to education, starting with a special interest in early education and with a strong emphasis on reflective education, must be our priorities. We must also work to restore teachers’ confidence that they are not alone. Only then will we be able not only let’s continue to have the good ones with the children, but also to attract young people to the most wonderful profession, that of a teacher, because what can be more wonderful than to shape destinies through direct contact with a human being in formation… All this, however, only together”, SAPS the minister.
