“Today, when everyone talks about elections and politicians, I choose to talk about vision and citizens. About my Plan for Bucharest (Editura Litera, 2024). Stuck in traffic, I look out the car window at a gray and unfriendly city with pensive passers-by and nervous drivers. A Bucharest suffocated by chaos, disorder and pollution, from which many want to leave, because they can no longer find themselves here. This city, with all its beauty, but also its imperfections, deserves more. I have always said: the most important resource of a city is its people. And the people of Bucharest, before being right-wing, left-wing or centre-right, are citizens who have the right to live decently in the Capital of their country”Sebastian Burduja wrote on his Facebook page.

“I wrote this book because I have a dream: to raise the Capital of Romania higher than it has ever been and to rediscover the pleasure of living here, the joy of raising our children here and the peace of aging here. It is a book that everyone can understand about my vision for Bucharest: what we must do from now on, looking to the future. I set out to write it last year, putting to paper some of my experience as a regional and urban development expert at the World Bank in the US, as well as lessons from central administration, from the two ministries I led: research , innovation and digitization, respectively energy. You will also find anecdotes and examples of good practices from the great cities of the world”added the president of PNL Bucharest.
Burduja: Together, let's change Bucharest for the better
“I want this book to be the opportunity to start a conversation about the future of Bucharest and the Bucharest of the Future. I am convinced that those who care about this place will get involved not only with words, but especially with deeds. Because politics is about citizens, not politicians. Just as the battle for Bucharest is not about one candidate or another, but about the vision we can outline for this city and its people. I love Bucharest and I am convinced that I am not the only one. And that together we can change it for the better, with the force of a new generation, connected to the pulse of the world. The foundation for the Bucharest of the Future is this Plan. Pre-orders are available today”concluded Sebastian Burduja.
For the moment, PSD and PNL have not reached a consensus either regarding a joint candidacy, or whether each must appear in the elections with its own candidate.
