Applications for enrollment in the preparatory class can be submitted to schools from April 11 to May 14, according to the announcement of the Deca League, the Minister of Education.

“In order to support parents and all those involved in the enrollment process, after the publication of the documents in the Official Gazette, we will make available to all those interested a material with the main questions and answers regarding the enrollment of children at school. Also, during the enrollment period and until their end, a telverde number will be available at the level of each school inspectorate, where parents will be able to call to receive, free of charge, the information they need to enroll their children. The first stage of registration
May 14-17, 2024 – Processing applications-type of registration and assigning children to the constituency school.
20-27 May 2024 – Processing standard applications requesting enrollment in an educational unit other than the constituency school, on the remaining free places. Accepting or rejecting applications.
May 28, 2024 – The assignment to the district school of children whose parents applied for enrollment in a school other than the district school, but were not admitted due to a lack of places, and who expressed in this phase the option to enroll in the district school.

The second stage of registration
May 30, 2024 – Communication of the specific procedure for assigning children to the available places, after the first stage of registration.
31 May-7 June 2024 – Submission/transmission of the registration-type application to the secretariat of the educational unit in the first position among the three options expressed for the second stage by the parents of children who were not included in any educational unit in the previous stage or who did not participate in first phase.
June 10-14, 2024 – Validation of applications-type of enrollment at the educational unit in the first position in the options regarding the enrollment of children.
June 17-21, 2024 – Processing applications-type of registration.
June 21, 2024 – Displaying the final lists of children enrolled in the preparatory class.
September 2-6, 2024 – The resolution by the school inspectorate of the requests of parents of children who have not yet been enrolled in an educational unit.
Who can postpone enrollment in the preparatory class by one year
Children who turn 6 years old by August 31 can postpone school enrollment by one year, if the parents submit a postponement request, but the reasons must be justified, according to the methodology project for enrolling children in primary education.
Although the large group and the middle group of kindergarten are compulsory, even children who did not attend kindergarten in “the lack of infrastructure at the local level or they had temporary residence abroad“.
Parents will submit standard enrollment applications, accompanied by supporting documents, either at the level of educational units or online, together with the standard declaration on their own responsibility. They can express three options.
In the second stage, registration applications will be completed only for the educational units where there are places available after the end of the first stage of registration. Moreover, parents will express, in descending order of preferences, a maximum of three options for educational units where there are still available places.
