Actor Gerard Depardieu left the police station after eight hours of questioning

French actor Gerard Depardieu left the police station on Monday where he was questioned for more than eight hours in connection with two allegations of sexual assault allegedly committed in 2014 and 2021, announced his lawyer, Christian de Saint-Palais, reiterating that the actor defends his innocence – EFE and AFP report, quoted by Agerpres.

According to the prosecutor, the 75-year-old actor left the police station, but refused to say whether he would have to return in the coming days.

Gerard Depardieu arrived in the early hours of the morning at a police station in the French capital to be questioned by investigators in connection with two accusations of sexual assault committed during two filmings.

The famous French actor is currently the subject of several proceedings for accusations of sexual assault and even rape.

In total, about fifteen victims accused him of abuse or rape.

Depardieu is, from 2020, accused of rape and sexual assault on the young actress Charlotte Arnould.

The legendary actor has always defended his innocence and did so vehemently in an open letter published in October 2023 in Le Figaro newspaper.

“I have never, ever, ever abused a woman”the star stated in that letter.
