The actor Marius Manole related an incident that happened at a hotel in Oradea, where a waitress told him something unusual about the current prime minister Ilie Bolojan.
Being in Oradea for a theater performance, the actor Marius Manole related on his social media page an incident from the hotel where he had a coffee, where a waitress told him how, when he was young, Ilie Bolojan would have raised the bar in his village by asking for a bachelor’s degree to be employed as a saleswoman in his first store.
The actor’s post went viral and now has over 8,200 likes, more than 1,200 shares and another 560 comments.
“This morning I drank my coffee in Oradea, on the terrace of the Astoria Hotel. A very nice hotel. I like to stay right next to the theater. And the lady who brought me the coffee, a very nice lady, by the way, with whom I spoke about Ana Blandiana’s last book, told me something very cool. She said that Mr. Bolojan is a visionary. I asked: “In what sense?” “Well, he’s from my village. And when we were young, he had the first store in the village. And on the door of the store he wrote: I only hire saleswomen with a high school diploma. At that time, the village didn’t really have a high school diploma. Most of them went to vocational school. Those were the times. And yet, the girls in the village started to learn and gave their high school diploma so they could get a job.” wrote the actor Marius Manole.

“That says a lot about him. It says a lot about us. And it says a lot about how things can change, if someone has the courage to raise the bar. It’s not about politics. It’s about life. About how things should be. About a way of thinking and a way of building — with solid, lasting foundations that will last over time. It’s not for those who want to jump right in. It’s not about politics.” concluded the actor.
On Monday evening, the PSD will decide whether or not to withdraw its political support to Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan. Also on Monday evening, a support demonstration for Ilie Bolojan was announced in the capital.
