The influencer died at the age of 31. The young woman, who had a strong social media presence with more than 55,000 followers on Instagram and around 344,000 on TikTok, was found dead on November 2 in a house in São Paulo, Brazil, after the man who had hired her for a sex match, a lawyer, called 911 to report that she was not breathing.

According to a police report reviewed by CNN Brasil, public prosecutor Renato Campos Pinto de Vitto, 51, said he hired Jankavski for “sexual services” that night and that during the meeting they allegedly consumed drugs together.

According to the lawyer’s account, when he noticed that Barbara Jankavski was no longer breathing in her sleep, he contacted the São Paulo Mobile Emergency Service (SAMU) and followed the operators’ instructions for about nine minutes, attempting resuscitation maneuvers, until the medical crew arrived.

“Medical personnel pronounced her dead at the scene,” de Vitto said, according to the same source.

The São Paulo State Military Police report also states that Barbara Jankavski was found wearing only her underwear, with a wound in the area of her left eye and visible marks on her back.

Although some media sources reported that a friend of the influencer stated that the facial wound was caused by a previous fall, the authorities stated that they are treating the young woman’s death as “suspicious” and are awaiting the results of the autopsy, including toxicology tests, to determine the exact cause of death.
