Chisage ESS officially enters the Romanian market: 16 kWh batteries compatible with any inverter, permanent stock in Bucharest

On May 15, 2026, at the CARO Hotel in Bucharest, more than 65 installers and resellers of photovoltaic systems witnessed an announcement that changes the data of the local energy storage market: WattRO Energy becomes the official distributor of Chisage ESS in Romania.

The Romanian photovoltaic market is growing rapidly, but it has always had a problem: the stock. Installers order, wait weeks, lose customers. Big international brands come with promises and leave without real technical support. The partnership announced last week between WattRO Energy and Chisage ESS comes with a concrete answer to these problems.

Who is Chisage ESS

Chisage ESS is the renewable energy subsidiary of Chisage Holding Group, a Chinese conglomerate founded in 1998 with a global turnover of US$4.5 billion. The group annually produces more than 3 GWh of LFP batteries and 1 GW of inverters, and is present in more than 50 countries, with offices and technical centers in Germany, Italy, Poland, Dubai and South Africa.

It is not a brand new to the market without coverage. The European subsidiary operates from Poland, and now Romania becomes the first country in the region with an official distributor and permanent local stock.

What does this partnership actually bring for installers

Permanent stock in Bucharest. WattRO Energy maintains local stocks of the entire Chisage ESS range — hybrid inverters from 3 kW to 80 kW and LFP batteries both low voltage and high voltage. No waiting times of 4-6 weeks for import.

16 kWh batteries — compatible with most inverters on the market. One of the most sought-after products in the Chisage ESS range is the 16 kWh LFP storage system, now available in stock in Bucharest. The major competitive advantage: Chisage ESS batteries are compatible with most inverters already present on the Romanian market — including brands that installers currently work with. This means you don’t have to change the entire system to provide the customer with high-performance storage.

Dedicated engineers, not a support phone number. The Chisage technical team is physically present in Romania until the end of June to finalize the after-sales infrastructure together with the WattRO Energy team. Four engineers — two from China, two from Poland — provide real-time remote technical support. WattRO Energy also employs two Romanian engineers dedicated exclusively to Chisage equipment, trained directly by the manufacturer.

A partnership with concrete figures

The value of the contract signed between WattRO Energy and Chisage ESS for 2026 is 3 million euroswith a sales target of over 10 million euros
until the end of the year. The figures reflect not only a commercial agreement, but a long-term bilateral commitment to the Romanian market.

They were present at the launch event Will ZhangVice President Chisage ESS, and Allim ZhangTechnical Director Chisage ESS — not regional representatives, but the central management of the company. Their presence in Bucharest says something about the importance Chisage attaches to the Romanian market.

“The Romanian market needs suppliers who deliver, not just promise. We chose Chisage ESS because we found a serious manufacturer with top technology and a real commitment to support. Permanent stock in Bucharest and dedicated engineers are not a marketing advantage — they are the minimum standard we owe to the installers we work with.”

Why it matters to the industry

Romania has one of the highest growth rates of photovoltaic installations in Central and Eastern Europe. Demand for storage systems is growing proportionately, but local supply has lagged far behind — few distributors with actual stock, and even fewer with local technical support.

The entry of Chisage ESS through WattRO Energy as an official distributor brings to the market a leading manufacturer, fast delivery capability, dedicated technical support and a full range of products — from residential to industrial.

For installers and resellers looking for a serious supplier, with stock in Bucharest and technical team available, WattRO Energy is now the answer.
