“There will never be any Szeklerland in Romania. No one will sell any Transylvania, no border will change. Why? Because we are in the European Union and NATO. We will be with full rights at the end of the year and in the terrestrial Schengen area (…) You must unite, not against other Romanians, you must unite to bring a better manager to the town hall, to the county council, better solutions, for that certain counties are still behind. (…) I don't want to go back to the past. I want to live in a normal country. These are the last years of intensive development of Romania”, said Prime Minister Marcel Ciolacu at the PSD Mureș County Election Conference.

The Prime Minister continued: “With you, in Mureș, in Satu Mare, in Covasna and in Harghita, there is a situation, let's say without big words, more special, a more complicated history. I am not one of the politicians who come and befriend Romanians with Romanians of other ethnicities and then leave goodbye to Bucharest and they are not bothered by what happens in your communities and in fact we are not building anything, but for a limited period of time we get maybe a number, but not significant or decisive, a larger number of votes”.

“Professor Vasile Dîncu used to say that it must be weighed very well. Maybe it is a solution for all the Romanian parties to unite against whom? also of some Romanians, but of Hungarian ethnicity (…) I don't know which is the best solution. With certainty you must know which one it is and you take it, but I do not come to be envious. I want to live in a normal Romania. I think together we can build. I want us to be represented at the top of local administrations and here we have to find the best solutions”Marcel Ciolacu also said
