Constantin Dănilescu (77 years old), former official at Steaua and Dinamo, spoke openly about the difficult times that his lifelong friend, Cornel Dinu, who is also 77 years old, is going through.
According to Danilescu, Cornel Dinu is struggling with health problems and has distanced himself from those around him, preferring isolation. The two were no longer able to hold normal discussions, communicating only through a few short messages, something that puts a lot of pressure on Danilescu.
At the end, he addressed Cornel Dinu with a thought of encouragement and a sincere wish to see him return with strength.
“We talked before. I still send him messages. I’m sorry for the situation you’ve gotten into. He closed himself in it. We know each other since first grade.

In November, Cornel Dinu arrived at the hospital again, at the cardiology department, for a series of checks and analyses. Asked how he was feeling, he offered only a few words, stating that his condition was “acceptable”.
