Having been in prison since the fall of last year, Dănuț Lupu (56 years old) is preparing to be released, according to Click!. The former football player registered with Dinamo and Rapid ended up being sentenced to death after driving several times with a canceled license.

Dănuț Lupu has been in prison since October 2, 2023, after he was sentenced to seven months and ten days in prison with execution, of which he served four months.
However, he received the “green light” from the parole commission of the Rahova Penitentiary and has every chance of returning home in a month, his lawyer being optimistic about the chances of success.
Under what conditions does Dănuț Lupu serve his sentence
The ex-footballer was assigned to the open regime, which allows those behind bars to enjoy more “friendly” conditions: those imprisoned are not guarded by guards, but only have a supervisor, receive the right to work and have access to the room intimate.
The prisoners have the obligation to enter the rooms in the evening, at 10 p.m., and in the morning they must show up at 7 a.m. for the call.
In the regime in which Dănuț Lupu is placed, prisoners benefit from free television, in such cases there are people convicted of non-violent crimes, such as acts of corruption, forgery and use of forgery.
