Comedian Doru Octavian Dumitru is at the “Sf. Ioan cel Nou” County Emergency Clinical Hospital in Suceava, where he underwent a thrombectomy. Initially, the artist had been admitted to the County Hospital in Bacău, the county where he was going to perform, before being transferred to Suceava.

The artist apologizes to his fans for the fact that the shows that were scheduled both tonight and in the following days, due to valid reasons, will not take place. God willing, they will be rescheduled“, is the message posted by members of Doru Octavian Dumitru’s family on social networks.
The family asks everyone “to respect the privacy of these extremely demanding and difficult moments, both for him and for his family”.
“Deep gratitude for the messages of encouragement and to all those who have the generosity to pray at this time for this wonderful man to overcome this difficult trial well.
We sincerely thank the teams of doctors and assistants who in the last hours were and continue to be by his side”, the artist’s family also sent.
He was supposed to give a show in Oneşti on Tuesday, October 21, but before the performance he was urgently transported to a hospital in Bacău, writes News.ro. Later, he was transferred to the “Sf. Ioan cel Nou” County Emergency Clinical Hospital Suceava, in order to perform a thrombectomy procedure.
“The intervention was successfully carried out by a multidisciplinary team consisting of a neurologist, an ATI doctor and an interventional radiologist, in the angiography laboratory of the hospital.
The procedure was carried out in safe conditions and had a very good result, with the patient doing well post-operatively. Currently, the patient is balanced in terms of vital signs“, the representatives of the hospital said on Wednesday.
Doru Octavian Dumitru had scheduled performances on Wednesday, at Adjud, on Thursday, in Buzău, and on Monday in the capital, at Sala Palatului.
