Luxury car manufacturer Porsche, which has Emma as its ambassador, has apparently taken back its car, a 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet supercar.

The other day, Emma Răducanu, 21, who has not won a Grand Slam since her 2021 US Open victory, resorted to public transport. She dressed in a lilac sweater for the city, which she matched with a navy vest and black leggings, writes dailymail.co.uk.

She completed her understated look with gray and white sneakers and black sunglasses.

Emma looked chilled as she scrolled on her phone before boarding a 345 bus. The tennis player, who is currently injured, fell in love with Porsche as a child as one of her first tennis coaches owned one of its sports cars.

Before her US Open success, she reportedly drove a £5,000 Dacia Sandero.

Every time I went to practice in the morning, I saw his Porsche,” she said. “I was thinking ‘Wow!’ and I dreamed that one day I would sit in my Porsche”.

The elementary school girl couldn’t contain her excitement when she was called “global brand ambassador”for Germany, after his epic victory in the 2021 US Open singles final at the age of 18.

The sponsorship deal was said to be worth a huge amount.

She was pictured looking proud – and a little nervous – as she drove to the National Tennis Center in Roehampton, south-west London, in a £125,000 911 Carrera GTS Cabriolet with a top speed of 192km/h h.

The Daily Mail’s Richard Eden has revealed that the tennis ace’s deal with the luxury car maker could be heading towards “scrap metal”.

“Emma no longer has a Porsche,” declared one of her associates. ‘They took him back. It was in the place of honor at her house.’

A Porsche spokesman confirmed that Emma is no longer in possession of one of its vehicles.

“Although we occasionally lend Emma a car, this is very rare.” he said.

A source who works in the sponsorship business said Porsche is known for being quick to withdraw its vehicles from celebrity ambassadors if it feels value for money is not being achieved.

Răducanu has certainly put in the work for the company, appearing in promotional videos, including one in which he drove a 911 GT3 at Brands Hatch in Kent, and another in which he lapped with Formula 1 veteran Mark Webber in a 911 Carrera S at Silverstone in Northamptonshire.

After becoming the first qualified player to win a Grand Slam title at the 2021 US Open, Răducanu, whose parents work in finance, signed hugely lucrative contracts with companies such as Dior, Evian, HSBC and Vodafone. Her company, Harbor 6 Ltd, made a profit of £9.6m last year.

Emma recently posted a cryptic selfie amid the news surrounding her limo. The beauty posted six photos to her Instagram feed – including a selfie in what appears to be a Porsche 911 Carrera GTS.

It is not known when the picture was taken and it was posted with a cryptically printed message that read: “Like I disappeared and reappeared.”
