FCSB had an excellent first half. Then the missed opportunities took their revenge

Sepsi OSK Sfântu Gheorghe ended in a draw with FCSB, 2-2 (1-2), on Wednesday evening, at home, in a game from the sixth stage of the play-off phase of the Superliga football.

The leader opened the scoring through Florinel Coman (9), from Darius Olaru's pass. The hosts equalized through the Hungarian Roland Varga (22), after an exceptional launch provided by Isnik Alimi. FCSB took the lead at halftime, thanks to the goal scored by David Miculescu (34), with a shot from the corner, after a pass from Alexandru Băluţă.

The team coached by the German Bernd Storck closed the scoreboard through Florin Ştefan (70), who scored in an empty net, after a wrong exit by the goalkeeper Ştefan Târnovanu.

FCSB had an excellent first half, missing numerous scoring opportunities, through Octavian Popescu (1), Băluţă (4, 7 – bar, 41). And Sepsi created scoring opportunities, through Alimi (21), Roland Varga (45+2 – bar) or Denis Ciobotariu (90+5). FCSB players dedicated the goal scored to Vlad Chiricheş (injured) of Coman. Varga also dedicated his first success in the Super League to an injured teammate, Nicolae Păun.

At Sepsi OK he entered, in min. 60, the midfielder Cosmin Matei, who was announced to have tested positive during an anti-doping control carried out on February 4.

FCSB is tied for the second time in a row, after four wins in the play-offs.

Sepsi OSK remains with one win in the play-offs. In the four confrontations this season, FCSB prevailed in the regular season with 5-2 and 1-0, as well as in the play-off round, with 2-1.
