Gina Pistol and Smiley fulfill an old dream – to own a house in the mountains. The two bought the land on which they are going to build a refuge away from the hustle and bustle of the city, a soul project started after they became parents.

The presenter of the MasterChef show confessed that the idea of a house in the mountains has been following her since childhood. “I came to the mountains to see some land, because my dream since I was little and poor is to have a house in the mountains and I hope to find what I want”, said Gina Pistol last year.
Now, the dream is starting to take shape. Gina and Smiley found the right land, bought it, and the star hopes that at least part of the construction will be ready by the end of 2025. On social media, Gina shared the joy of the moment, posting a picture from the pitch: “This is where the house will be. A house I’ve dreamed of since I was a child”she wrote.

A house of the soul, a family project
For Gina and Smiley, the project is not just an investment, but part of a new chapter in their lives, which began with the birth of their daughter, Josephine. “I want to get started on the house, to build a house. We bought a plot of land in the mountains and I want this project to be my soul house. I’ve never built a house before. To do it the way I feel and I’m very impatient, I’m sure it will be difficult”said Gina Pistol, according to Click!.
The star added that important decisions related to the construction will be made together with her husband, Smiley: “I had a busy summer and I have to make certain decisions together with Andrei“.
The desire to raise her daughter close to nature
One of the reasons why Gina wants this house is the desire to give her daughter a simple childhood in the middle of nature. “I want a house not in a tourist area, a house in a more secluded area, to stay with my husband, to raise our daughter, cats, dogs, goats, sheep, donkeys, horses, whatever. It’s great in the mountains! God, what a beautiful country we have“, said the star enthusiastically.
The holiday home will thus be a place of peace, far from the fast pace of the city, a space dedicated to the family and reconnecting with nature.
Between career, family and personal balance
Gina Pistol and Smiley form one of the most beloved couples in Romanian showbiz. The two have a four-year-old daughter, Josephine, and manage to combine professional and family life.
“I admit that it is not easy at all to reconcile all these roles and responsibilities, and sometimes I feel that I am divided into several parts. The secret, I think, lies in organization and, above all, in accepting the fact that not everything has to be perfect”said Gina Pistol for the magazine VIVA!
The presenter also added that the support of her family and husband is essential: “I try to prioritize my time, to be really present in every moment, whether I’m on set or at home with Josephine. The support of Andrei and the family is essential for me. Without them, it would certainly be much harder. I think it’s important to love ourselves and allow ourselves to make mistakes, be gentler with ourselves“.
