Marian Godină received a special mission from his wife
Georgiana, the wife of the well-known policeman, is at the hospital, where she gave birth to the family’s second child, little Irina. In the meantime, Marian Godină received an impossible mission: to take care of the other little girl, Maria, alone, while Georgiana is admitted to the hospital. The mission, seemingly simple, gave the policeman some trouble, but in the end it was carried out with some success.
Mission impossible
In his characteristic style, with a lot of humor, Marian Godină told on Facebook how his mission as a father went and where the challenges came from. Obviously, the post went viral and gathered over 5,500 likes and hundreds of comments in less than an hour.
“Because she’s still in the hospital, and I’m alone with Maria, Georgiana gave me strict instructions: don’t give her a lot of sweets, don’t buy her everything she wants, don’t immediately put her drawings if she doesn’t she wants to sleep or if she cries, if she wakes up at night, maybe I should turn on the TV and be patient until she falls asleep again and she should not fall asleep later than 9 p.m. I told her to be quiet. I knew all these things anyway”Godină began his story.
Father’s heart
The calculation at home, however, did not match the one from… the mall. Once they arrived at a shopping center, little Maria did what any child does: she “stuck” to the toys that came her way.
“Yesterday, I went to the mall with Maria and without paying attention, she stumbled into a toy store. He just wanted a lego that he didn’t have at home anyway, so I said I could have it. On the way to the cash register she saw a purse and a phone with Minnie, who is her favorite. You could see on her face that she really wanted them, so I took them. Arriving at the house, we saw that a bag of farm animals was stuck to his hand. She likes animals a lot, and she didn’t have these at home. In addition, in the bag was a fence of that kind of farm. What was it like to take the bag from her hand and put it back?“, Godină also writes.
Once they arrived home, Godină’s mission as a father entered another stage. And things did not go exactly as his wife would have liked.
“We got home and played all day. At 9pm he showed no sign of wanting to sleep, so I made the simple and logical conclusion, which mothers don’t find, that he was sleep deprived. At a quarter to ten I took her with me to the living room to watch the match. I don’t think she really liked the game, but she still sat nicely next to me, especially since there was a bag of wafers and a bowl of chips between her and me. A few times we both laughed because our hands met in the bag of wafers. At some point he fell asleep, so I went to the bedroom where he fell asleep. He woke up only around 3, just in time for us to watch Tyson’s match together. I didn’t give him any more wafers, they weren’t there any more, but I still found some check. I made only crumbs in bed.
