FCSB beat Petrolul Ploiești on Friday evening, score 3-1, and can no longer be overtaken in the standings by two other teams with a European license, so it is qualified for the Conference League play-off, with three stages left to play in the play-out.
The champion has 6 points over FC Botoșani, 9 over Csikszereda and 13 over Farul, the three teams with the right to participate in European cups. Thus, FCSB will most likely play the first round of the play-off with the Moldovan team and, if they advance, with the 3rd or 4th place in the Superliga play-off.

Against Petrol, the red-blues played the first game after being abandoned by coach Mirel Rădoi. The interim Lucian Filip was on the bench, and the game was a breeze. In the 14th minute, Roche committed a foul in the box, and Florin Tănase opened the scoring with a shot. 13 minutes later, Octavian Popescu dispossessed Papp and beat the Bălbarău goalkeeper without emotion. At the start of the second half, Miculescu made a simple pass in front of Darius Olaru’s goal, who fulfilled a formality, increasing the score to 3-0. Aymbetov scored the guest’s honor goal in the 90th minute.
The fight for the second place in the group stage is between FC Botoșani (30p), Csikszereda (27p) and Farul Constanța (23p), the Constantinians most likely focusing on avoiding relegation.
