Magical qualification of the Romanian national team in the final of the European Table Tennis Championship

Romania achieved a clear victory in the semifinal of the European Team Championship in Zadar (Croatia), winning 3-0 against the Netherlands.

Bernadette Szocs, Eliza Samara and Andreea Dragoman were unstoppable, winning all their matches and securing the national team’s qualification to the final, where the tricolors will face the strong German team.

Bernadette gets the first point for Romania, in the confrontation with the Netherlands

Bernadette Szocs started strongly in the semi-final Romania vs. Netherlands. After a balanced first set, won 14-12, the Romanian lost the second set (3-11), but recovered quickly and won dramatically in the third set (12-10). The match reached the decider, where Szocs absolutely dominated Li Jie, winning 11-1 and thus bringing the first point for Romania in the confrontation with the Netherlands.

Eliza Samara and Britt Eerland played in the second women’s table tennis match of the evening. The Dutch won the first set, 13-11, but the Romanian mobilized quickly and took the second set, 11-4.

The same Samara won the 3rd set against Eerland, 11-8. The Romanian also prevailed in the last act and won the match with Eerland, 3-1 in sets. 2-0 for Romania in the semi-final with the Netherlands.

In the direct match between Andreea Dragoman and Shuohan Men, the Romanian managed to impose herself in the first set, with 11-8.

The same Dragoman scored his victory in the 2nd set as well, with 11-5. Dragoman closed the match and took Romania to the final of the European Championship.

In men’s, the matches of the tricolors will start this evening, from 20:00.
