Alexandru Rogobete, the Minister of Health, said on Thursday, July 3, that the works for the construction of the Center for Stereotactic oncology and radiosurgery at the Emergency Clinical Hospital “Bagdasar-Arseni” From Bucharest will be completed in three years, starting July 3.

“I only have to congratulate the hospital team and the manager for this project. I know the project, he started in 2022, in the end we have all the authorizations, and today the demolition of the building behind me begins and then the construction of a center, perhaps the most efficient oncology and radio therapy center, as the teachers said.
It is addressed not only to neurosurgical cerebro-vascular pathology but a range, a wider spectrum of oncological pathologies. The project is financed from the state budget, through the Ministry of Health and has a value of 100 million euros ”, the minister said.
The execution time is 3 years, and the works begin on July 3, he said.
Asked if from the position of minister will initiate a change in tenders, given that he previously stated that auctions are the cause for which work on hospitals starts very difficult, Rogobete said that, during this period, the ministry will come with a package of measures.
“I already had a discussion with Mrs. ANAP president, we asked the beneficiaries from the PNRR to convey the main obstacles they met during this period and sure that we will come up with a package of measures to ease public auctions, this discussion also took place with Prime Minister Bolojan ”, the Minister of Health transmitted.
Also, asked what categories are exempted from the payment of health contributions (CASS), he said that “The fiscal measures will be announced by the Minister of Finance and the Prime Minister of Romania ”, because “Not the Ministry of Health establishes the way of taxation of income ”.
Rogobete: More medical holidays have been issued than possible physically in a day

“We discussed with the CNAS this morning, the situation of payments is in March and of course we will try according to the financial availability to recover these delays, I hope until September we reach an acceptable level,” he said.

“Such situations have not been identified and I do not think that this situation will be reached. I rely on the understanding of the distributors taking into account the financial context of the country”, said the minister.

The minister also stated that in Romania there is no acute lack of physiological serum, despite punctual situations that occurred in certain hospitals, such as the one in Brasov, where the deliveries were stopped due to the unpaid debts to the distributors.
“At the moment, there is no acute lack of serum in Romania. Stocks for the physiological serum, indifferent to the volume of falcons, exist. We have somewhere at 5 million vials in stock. There are, indeed, punctual situations, such as the one from Brașov, where the manager has debts of over 500 thousand lei for the serum, and there is no more than the serum in the hospital in which managers have chosen to bypass the public auction system and conclude framework agreements for several years for the physiological serum and to sign direct award contracts.
This situation led to discontinuities. I will send the control body to Brasov. Considering that Mr. from Brasov fails to provide even physiological serum for the hospital he coordinates, I think the local authority should take an urgent attitude ”, he transmitted.
