National Assessment 2024. The Ministry of Education gives all the details about the exam

More than 160,000 students will take the 2024 National Assessment exam, according to a press release sent by the Ministry of Education a day before the first test, the Romanian Language and Literature test.

The written tests of the 2024 National Assessment exam for eighth grade graduates begin on Tuesday, June 25, with the testing of Romanian language and literature knowledge. The next test, in Mathematics, will take place on Thursday, June 27, and the exam in Mother Language and Literature will be held on Friday, June 28.

According to the data sent by the county school inspectorates, more than 160,400 8th grade graduates were registered to take the exam that will be organized in 3,392 educational units.

Rules in the exam hall

Here are the main rules in the exam hall:

– Student access to the exam centers is allowed between 8:00 and 8:30. They must carry a valid ID and writing instruments with ink or blue paste for writing written work. Black pencil can also be used for the execution of schemes and drawings.

-Exams begin at 9:00 a.m., when students will receive the topic booklet and stamped draft paper (additional pages may be requested where appropriate).

– The duration of solving the subjects in each written test is 120 minutes (two hours), calculated after filling in the identification box (the data entered by the students will be checked by the assistants in the exam rooms). Students for whom this request has been approved by the Bucharest County Commission for organizing the exam, based on the provisions of the specific procedure regarding ensuring conditions for equalizing opportunities for students with deficiencies, benefit from the extension of working time, by a maximum of two hours sight, hearing impairments and neurodevelopmental disorders taking the national exams in 2024.

– It is prohibited to bring into the exam rooms any type of helpful materials: textbooks, dictionaries, notes, notes, books, drafts, summaries, collections, etc., which can be used to solve the subjects, as well as mobile phones and electronic tools computing, information storage or communication.

– The following items are prohibited in the exam rooms: satchels, rucksacks, bags, purses and the like (students are obliged to leave these personal items in the storage room established by the committee in the educational unit/exam center). Those who refuse to store objects in the room established by the committee for this purpose will not be accepted in the exam. The samples are audio-video monitored.

How to file appeals

The first results will be displayed on July 3, until 14:00. Complaints can be submitted at the exam centers or sent by electronic means, on July 3 (between 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.) and July 4 (between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.). Students who submit/submit appeals also complete, sign and submit/submit a standard declaration stating that they are aware that the grade awarded following the resolution of the appeal may change, as the case may be, the initial grade by increasing or decreasing it. The documents are also signed by the parents/legal representatives of minor students. Final results will be posted on Tuesday, July 9.

Communication of results, anonymous

The communication of the obtained results is done anonymously through individual codes that replace the first and last name, both in the exam centers and on the website, respecting the General Regulation on the protection of personal data. The individual codes will be distributed to the students based on the receipt signature, at the first test held.

How to Calculate High School GPA

The admission average, on the basis of which secondary school graduates are enrolled in the 9th grade of high school, is the overall average in the national assessment taken by the 8th grade graduates, calculated as an arithmetic average, with two decimal places, without rounding, of the grades obtained in the National Assessment tests.

The Ministry of Education makes available to those interested the TELVERDE line 0800801100 for reporting possible malfunctions regarding the conduct of the National Evaluation. The number will be available during the written tests.

The subjects and the correction scale for the 2024 National Assessment exam will be available on the website, every day with a written test, starting at 3:00 p.m.
