Olympiakos Piraeus incredibly overturned the result in the round and qualified against Maccabi Tel Aviv. Aston Villa also qualified after a match won on goal

Aston Villa and Olympiakos Piraeus have qualified for the quarter-finals of the Europa Conference League in football, after obtaining victories by score, on Thursday evening, in the second leg of the round of 16.

Aston Villa disposed of Ajax with the score of 4-0, after 0-0 in Amsterdam. Ollie Watkins, Leon Bailey, Jhon Duran and Moussa Diaby scored for the team from Birmingham, as the “lancers” played with ten men from min. 66.

Olympiakos Piraeus, defeated at home by Maccabi Tel Aviv 4-1, outclassed the Israeli team 6-1, after extra time, on neutral ground, in Backa Topola (Serbia). Daniel Podence, Konstantinos Fortounis, Ayoub El Kaabi (two), Stevan Jovetic and Youssef El Arabi scored for Olympiakos, while Eran Zahavi scored for Maccabi.

FC Bruges beat Molde FK on penalty kicks, 3-0, after losing the first leg 1-2 in Norway. Andreas Skov Olsen scored a double for the Belgians, and Michal Skoras closed the scoreboard.

Fenerbahce lost at home to Union Saint-Gilloise, score 0-1, but moves on after the victory in the round, with 3-0.

Viktoria Plzen and Servette Geneva failed to score for 210 minutes, the qualification being obtained by the Czechs on penalty kicks (3-1), where goalkeeper Martin Jedlicka saved two penalties.

Fiorentina qualified against Maccabi Haifa, thanks to the victory in the round, with 4-3, after the score was equal, 1-1, at Stadio Artemio Franchi.

The duel between Lille and Sturm Graz also ended with a draw, 1-1, but the French go to the quarters after winning 3-0 in the round.

In another match, PAOK Salonic, a team coached by Romanian Răzvan Lucescu, beat Dinamo Zagreb 5-1, after the Croatian champions had won the round 2-0.
