According to the national prevention program, all citizens, regardless of the insured status, have the right to free periodic consultations to the family doctor.
“Prevention means tranquility and confidence. It is the primordial condition for an independently lived life, as you wish. Therefore, whether you are insured or not, no matter what area you live and what you work, you benefit free of periodic consultations to your family doctor. You do not need medical insuranceyou just have to come to your family doctor ”, wrote the Ministry of Health, on FB.
Thus, people between the ages of 18 and 39 can benefit annually from a free consultation for assessing the general health and identifying risk factors, such as smoking, nutrition, physical activity or body weight.
For those who are 40 years old or more, up to three free consultations per year are provided, depending on the risks identified by the family doctor.
