The traditional average partner of FNT35 – Radio Romania – presents, during the entire period of the festival, a suite of events. We mention, first, the section appreciated at the previous editions FNT on Air, during which over 30 shows will be listened to by the National Radio Theater, broadcast on Radio Romania Cultural and Radio Romania current. There are representative contemporary productions, in accordance with the evolution of the Drama radio genus and with the modern tendencies of the composition of the sound space. Then there will be four “in situ” events, considered significant for the stage in which the National Radio Theater is located, “for the modern spirit and, at the same time, for the public approach, by the theme addressed and by the refinement and precision acquired in the exploration of the sound space”.
Also, during the festival will be active, on the website www.eteatru.ro, the collection “FNT 2025-the online section”. In the ten days of the festival, a space for audio productions drama will work in the foyer of the Media National Theater. Ten puffs, which the public is invited to sit, creates the protected environment of a radio theater audition. The audio shows in the playlist of the National Radio Theater can be accessed with a QR scanned code with each listener. The playlist includes recent productions of the National Radio Theater, thematically organized: real worlds, imaginary worlds and phonograms. This program is addressed to the spectators and guests of the festival, who have to spend a time between two shows or other events in the FNT35 program.
There will also be a premiere audition in the festival. On October 18, from 12:30, at the Bucharest National Theater – Tapiseriei Foyer, the show “Passions after Job” will be heard by Val Butnaru, directed by Petru Hadârcă, production of the National Radio Theater in collaboration with the National Theater “Mihai Eminescu” in Chisinau, within the dramaturi dramaturi project.

The National Radio Theater also proposes the round table “Dramaturgy for sound” (Arcub, October 19, 4:00 pm). Its purpose is to discuss the specificity of the audio dramaturgy: how we think a story in the sound, which are the levels of sound expression, how we can supplement the absence of the image, etc. We also mention the premiere audition with selections from the radio shows “Oedip King”, “Oedipus La Colonos” and “Antigone” of Sophocles, directed by Gavriil Pinte (October 22, from 12:00, at the UNITER headquarters). The three radio productions are an eloquent example of how they can be played today, by current means, the old texts of humanity.
