Rowing World Cup: Romania obtained silver at the Queen Sample of 8+1 Female

Romania’s 8+1 female crew managed to get the silver medals, this Saturday, at the World Championships in Shanghai.

Romania managed to regain a time of 06 min 10 sec 83/100, with a strong team of Cristina Drugă, Roxana Anghel, Iulia-Liliana Bălăucă, Maria Lehaci, Ancuţa Bodnar, Geanina Dumitriţa Juncănariu, Adriana Adam, Amalia Bereş and Victoria Petreanu.

The team of the Netherlands rose on the highest step of the podium, with the time of 06: 08.10, and the British ended on the third place, on 06: 12.66.

In the 8+1 male test, Romania (with the athletes Mihăiţă Ţigănescu, Laurenciiu Danciu, Mateus-Simion Cozminciuc, Fabrizio-Alexandru Scripcariu, Bogdan Baitoc, Leontin Nuţescu, Constantin Adam, Claudiu Neamţu and Adrian Munteanu) took second place in the final B, chronometer: 36.58.

Germany was faster (05: 33.18), so the tricolors finished 8th in general.

So far, Romania has gathered a gold and four silver medal at these World Cup.

Our country lines 12 crews at the Shanghai competition, held between September 21 and 28. For the first time, the program also includes mixed doubles and 8+1 samples, which will take place on Sunday.
