Nicknamed “Vulpea” in his sports glory period, Aurică Beldeanu, 74 years old, is the new “oracle” of the people of Olten, after the former footballer of “Craiova Maxima” guessed the correct score in the matches of the University with FC Argeș (2-1, Superliga) and with Mainz (1-0, Europa League), a fact that earned him the nickname “Aurică-Gura de Aur”.
Regarding the evolution of the team from Bănie in the current championship, in which Mirel Rădoi (44 years old) gave way to the Portuguese Filipe Coenho (44 years old) on the technical bench, Beldeanu is of the opinion that: “the situation in the championship is complicated. From what I can see, the team has the same performance as before. But, if we want the title, we had to win in Cluj (no – the match with U Cluj ended 0-0)After 18 stages, the University is 5 points behind the leader Rapid.
The victim of a stroke seven years ago, a medical problem that prevented him from spending his last time with former teammate Ilie Balaci, Beldeanu says that he is now in good physical shape.
“It’s been seven years since the surgery and I’m fine. That’s right, I’m going to school again! No alcohol, no fizzy drinks, no coffee. About smoking, anyway I haven’t smoked for 36 years. And for drinking, I drank enough alcohol. Let others drink as much as I drank, so that they may catch up with me!Beldeanu declared, sometimes jokingly, for “Adevărul”.

Information spread in Craiova that Beldeanu has a complicated housing situation, having to share his apartment with his ex-wife. Nea Aurică would live in one room, next to his dog, and the ex-wife would share another room with his current partner.
Beldeanu jumped as if burned, upon hearing the horror: “Fools, sir! If these appeared, it means that I have many friends around Craiova! The apartment is mine. I don’t even know how many years I’ve been divorced! And I kept good relations with my wife even after the separation. He washes me, steps on me… How can another come into my house? Listen… What she’s doing outside, I don’t care! I have no work!“.
