The Argentine champion died with edema, dehydration and liquid in the abdomen, heart and lungs due to liver failure. Jana Maradona, one of the daughters of the former footballer, did not want to follow the images from the trial on Tuesday, in which he was shown with the Leopoldo Luque finger, Diez’s personal doctor and one of the main defendants.

Fernando Burlando, Maradona’s daughter’s lawyer, pointed out: “From what turned out, his agony did not last 12 hours, but much more, began at least on November 18, 7 days before his death, which occurred on November 25, 2020”.
