On Saturday evening, Inter played the first match as the champion of Italy. Cristi Chivu’s boys did not sleep on one ear and passed Lazio (3-0), a team they will meet in the final of the Italian Cup in four days.
It was a perfect rehearsal for Inter, right at the Olimpico in Rome, the venue for the last act of the Coppa Italia. In his first season as coach of the great peninsular team, Cristi Chivu has all the prerequisites to achieve the event, after tonight’s show of strength.
Visit to the Vatican and clear success in Rome
After the visit from the Vatican, where they were received by Pope Leo XIV, Inter prevailed 3-0 on Lazio’s pitch, after opening the scoring very quickly, in the 6th minute of the meeting, through Marcus Thuram, then scoring through Lautaro Martinez (39) and Mhkhitaryan (76). The hosts also had one sent off, Romagnoli, in the 56th minute.
Under the command of Cristi Chivu, Inter marches in Serie A, reaching 85 points in 36 stages, being 15 “lengths” behind Napoli and 17 ahead of Juventus.
