The Parliament increases the salaries of the staff of the Senate and the Chamber of Deputies

The permanent offices of the two Chambers of the Parliament established, on Wednesday, the minimum and maximum basic salary for the staff from the parliamentary offices of deputies and senators, by reference to the increase of the minimum for the economy, i.e. from 3,000 lei to 3,300 lei.

According to the adopted decision, the minimum limit of the basic salary is the gross minimum basic salary per country guaranteed in payment, respectively 3,300 lei, and the maximum limit of the basic salary is the basic salary of the equivalent position used in the office of the official, according to Agerpres.

Thus, for the position of advisor, the maximum basic salary can be 8,605 lei, for an expert – 7,574 lei, for a consultant and chief of staff – 6,079 lei, for chief of staff, referent – between 5,572 and 5,169 lei, for a driver – between 5,036 lei and 3,301 lei.

The decision was taken to implement the provisions of the framework law 153/2017 regarding the remuneration of staff paid from public funds, correlative with HG 900/2023 regarding the establishment of the minimum gross basic salary per country guaranteed in payment, with the Emergency Ordinance 115/2023 regarding some fiscal-budgetary measures, with Emergency Ordinance 127/2023, as well as with the Labor Code, it is specified in the approved decision.
