The Red Intervention Plan was activated on Thursday, July 9, at 2:56 p.m., in Călărași County, after a road accident occurred in the Drajna area, in which a bus and a truck were involved. According to the information provided by the authorities, there were 60 people in the bus, including 35 children and 25 adults.
According to the information published by Știripesurse, the bus collided with a truck loaded with radiators.
12 people were slightly injured
The head of ISU Călăraşi, Ovidiu Tătaru, told Digi24 that 12 people were injured, all of them being out of any danger. The victims suffered minor injuries, and one of them has a suspected hip fracture.
The injured were transported to the Emergency Reception Unit in Slobozia and to UPU Călărași. Only the driver was in the truck.
A SMURD helicopter was also requested for one of the victims, which will transport her to a medical facility.
According to the information published by CL Press, seven medical teams from the Emergency Situations Inspectorate and the County Ambulance Service were mobilized to the scene of the accident, as well as two extrication vehicles and two emergency vehicles.
Traffic blocked on the Drajna – Slobozia direction
The police are at the scene of the accident and are intervening to ease traffic and carry out rescue operations. Traffic is blocked on the Drajna – Slobozia road, and drivers are advised to avoid the area.
