2025 brought a pleasant surprise to the students from the High Schools no. 1 from Ciorogârla, “Apaczai Csere Janos” from Apața, and “Ovidiu Hulea” from Aiud, where the Aktor Construction Company, with the support of the National Federation of Parents (FNAP Proedu) and Arthur Publishing House, donated 1,212 new books within the project “Reads and grows with Aktor” See from the pictures in the movie posted here.
Over 2,000 students from the three secondary schools in Ciorogârla, Apața and Aiud have what to read from now on for a long time. In addition to the more than 1,200 new books, the schools also received library furniture.
“The three schools are in the localities in which Aktor has carried or carrying out infrastructure projects. These are Ciorogârla where we will complete in spring Lot 3 of the South A0 highway, where Aktor drills the longest railway tunnels in Romania, respectively Aiud, where we made Lot 2 from the A10 Sebe-Turda highway. The chance of the little ones to read and find out new things, to develop intellectually and to become educated adults.
“I am delighted to support this project in which Aktor made it possible for two thousand children to enjoy the magic of reading, against the background of decreasing resources in many school libraries, especially in disadvantaged areas. I recognized the essential role that libraries play in completing the education of the little ones and in ensuring an equal access to all the children. Along with books, schools also received library bodies and PUF armchairs, to create appropriate reading corners. Also, Aktor, Fnap Proedu and Arthur Publishing House offered the students from the Gymnasium School no. 1 from Ciorogârla a workshop under the title “How a book was born”, supported by the writer Adina Popescu, the author of the book “Stories from Calea Moșilor” appeared at Arthur Publishing House.
