“This normative act extends, until December 31, 2025, the granting of support and humanitarian assistance to foreign citizens or stateless persons from the area of the armed conflict in Ukraine, who entered the territory of Romania prior to July 1, 2024, housed in the locations established by the county committees”transmits the quoted source.

The amount is granted in differentiated amount, respectively 500 lei/month for the single person and 1,500 lei/month for a family. This amount is settled monthly, from the budget of the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations and, as the case may be, from the budgets /budget of the County Inspectorates for Emergency Situations /Inspectorate for Emergency Situations Bucharest-Ilfov, to the unit that ensures the accommodation, in proportion to the number of days for which it is provided.

“This support measure can benefit the persons who prove, with documents issued by competent authorities in Romania, that they are in certain vulnerable situations (for example: they are classified in disability; they are in temporary incapacity or suffer from a temporary medical condition, incompatible with employment; etc.) “is mentioned in the statement.

The government has also adopted a decision clarifying the mechanism for granting the lump sums.
