A tourism expert has identified an Eastern European coastal city with long beaches and golden sand, seafront restaurants and elegant architecture, similar to Barcelona but much cheaper, which he says will soon be “the talk of the town”.
Rob Brooks, a representative of the travel agency On The Beach, presented the recommendation in a video published on TikTok, where he described the city as “the best hidden destination for a beach holiday in Europe”.
“I’ve discovered the Barcelona of Eastern Europe and you definitely haven’t heard of it before” he said.

According to the specialist, the destination has several important advantages for tourists: low costs, short and affordable flights and facilities suitable for families. He stated that the destination is not in Spain, Portugal, Italy, France or Turkey and that it began to attract his attention after a significant increase in interest from tourists, according to express.
“One destination suddenly came to my attention after an explosion of holiday searches. I looked at the data and figures and I am convinced that it could become one of the most popular places in Europe in the coming years.” said the expert.
Initially skeptical about a holiday on the Baltic coast, Brooks says he completely changed his mind after seeing pictures of the resort.
“It has a huge beach with golden sand, numerous bars and restaurants on the seafront, colorful streets, beautiful architecture, luxury hotels and an impressive pier that stretches directly into the sea,” he said.

The seaside destination that offers beaches and half the prices of Barcelona
The destination the specialist is talking about is the city of Sopot, one of the most famous resorts on the Baltic Sea coast in Poland.
“I completely understand the comparisons with Barcelona, but here there are not the same crowds and not the same high prices,” Brooks said.
The expert believes that the main advantage of the city is the diversity of activities it offers to tourists. “You can spend the morning on the beach, the afternoon strolling the historic streets and eating very well without spending a fortune. Because money has more value here, the experience feels much more luxurious than it actually costs”he explained.
“It will become more and more popular in the coming years”
According to Brooks, summer temperatures frequently reach around 26 degrees Celsius, and the resort’s popularity continues to grow. “I don’t think this place will remain a secret for much longer. The more I researched, the more I realized it will become more and more popular in the coming yearshe said.
The resort’s official tourism website describes Sopot as “one of the most charming places in Poland”, appreciated for its beaches, green spaces, specific architecture and diversified offer of hotels and restaurants.
In the comments of the video published on TikTok, several tourists confirmed their positive impressions of the area.
“It’s a great place. I was there in May.” one user wrote.
“Sopot is a great city and so is Gdynia. The environment is very clean and the prices for food and drinks are moderate,” another person commented.
“Sopot is spectacular,” said another.
