For the first time, in Romania the festival dedicated to inclusive dance and dance -therapy will be held: Dance Bridges Festival 2025 – Accept & Connect, organized by TMOVES and its international partners, with the support of the Union
Between May 16-18, 2025, the first festival in Romania dedicated to inclusive dance and dance -therapy is held in Bucharest: Dance Bridges Festival 2025 – Accept & Connect, organized by TMOVES and its international partners, with the support of the European Union through the Erasmus+program.
During the three days, the festival will bring together neurotypic and neurodiver young people, people with disabilities, amateur and professional dancers, specialists in art, education and health. The collaboration between Romania, Portugal, Spain, Denmark and Slovenia will create bridges between people through dance, encouraging active participation, inclusion and personal expression by movement – regardless of skills, social status or the environment of origin
At the interviews of Adevărul, Sorina Petrescu, dance-terrapeut, prof. Choreographer explains the power that the dance has to transform the disability into courage and how the neurotypic and neurodiverng people integrate.
Sorina Petrescu, founder of TMOVES, psycho -pedagogue, choreographer with training in psychotherapy by dance and movement. TMOVES is a creative-artistic-educational hub of excellence in dance-therapy and inclusive dance, which in particular helps children and neurotypical, neurodiversa, with CES (special educational requirements) or disabilities to transform by movement to reach their maximum potential.
Through the workshops it supports, it is the first inclusive dance company in the country that celebrate the diversity and acceptance of what we are, creating the right context for freedom of expression and discovering emotions through dance, for developing the skills needed for an independent life in balance and harmony.
It offers professional guidance, training in the field of creative methods through dance and movement, dance-therapy for psycho-pedagogues, choreographers, dance teachers, parents and those interested in working with neurodiversal people, with (dissociations) skills.
