Keith Urban has sparked controversy after changing the lyrics of one of his songs inspired by the relationship with Nicole Kidman to filter with his new stage colleague, Maggie Baugh guitarista.
The song “The Fighter”, launched in 2016 and initially sung with Carrie Underwood, was talking about the beginnings of a relationship, about the times when everything could work well or break down, and Urban used to convey through it the devotion and support to his wife.
At a recent moment at a concert, the artist replaced the original verse “When he tries to reach you, baby, I will be the fighter“With”When they want to touch you, Maggie, I will be your guitarist ”, arousing the astonishment of the public and the fans.

Changing the lyrics of the song “The Fighter” in a sensitive context has fueled speculations that Urban would have already passed over the relationship with Kidman, and fans have reacted harshly, accusing the gesture of lack of respect for the symbol of their marriage.
According to the quoted publication, this incident comes just a few days after Nicole Kidman filed the divorce acts against Urban, ending the 19 years of marriage, on the ground of “irreconcilable differences ”.
The two have started living separately in recent months, and the 58 -year -old actress was taken by surprise by her husband’s decision.
Sources close to Kidman say that the separation was extremely difficult to process for this, especially since they have two daughters, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret.
Nicole Kidman was previously married to actor Tom Cruise, between 1990 and 2001, during which time two children, Isabella, 32, and Connor, 30 years old.
The marriage with Urban began in 2006, five years after the separation of Cruise. Throughout the marriage, the two were forced to cope with the loaded programs.
