Former president Klaus Iohannis attended the Resurrection service at the “Holy Trinity” Roman Catholic Church in Sibiu, together with his wife, Carmen Iohannis, on Saturday evening.
Before entering the place of worship, former president Klaus and Carmen Iohannis stopped for a few moments to convey a short message to those present. “I wish you a peaceful Easter!” said the former president, complemented by his wife’s “Happy Birthday”, reports the Council Tower.
Klaus Iohannis was also present last Sunday at the “Holy Trinity” Church in the center of Sibiu, when he celebrated the Feast of Flowers in the place of worship that he attended constantly even when he was president.
Klaus Iohannis almost disappeared from public life, limiting his appearances to rare occasions and avoiding major events in the political or social space.
Catholic Easter is celebrated, this year, on April 5. Like Orthodox Easter, Catholic Easter celebrates the Resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, after His crucifixion on Good Friday.
