The Princess of Wales says she is making “progress” after being diagnosed with cancer and will attend Trooping the Color on Saturday, June 15.

This will be Kate Middleton's first public appearance this year after her diagnosis and abdominal surgery in January, writes bbc.com.

But in a personal message, Catherine says her treatment is still ongoing and will continue for several months.

We still haven't broken the deadlock,” says the princess.

This is the most important update on Catherine's health since she revealed in March that she has cancer in a statement written in her own words.

This is accompanied by a new photo of the princess, taken by photographer Matt Porteous, showing her near her home in Windsor. But the positive message is accompanied by caution.

“As anyone who goes through chemotherapy knows, there are good days and bad daysshe says.

“On those bad days you feel weak, tired, and you have to give in to your resting body. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of the fact that you feel good.” says the princess.

I'm learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal.”

For Trooping the Colour, the princess will be part of the carriage parade with her children and will be part of the family group to salute from the balcony of Buckingham Palace.

The event is a birthday parade for the monarch, and a palace spokesman said King Charles III is “delighted that the princess can attend tomorrow's events”.

The princess also expressed her thanks for the messages of support from the public during her illness, saying it was “shattered” of encouragement.

“It really made a huge difference to William and me and helped us both get through some of the tougher times.” it shows in the princess's message.

Princess Kate Middleton has started working from home and is expected to attend some events over the summer, but Kensington Palace has stressed that it is not a full return and that plans could change shortly.
